Public lighting – Butoves

Year of Implementation: 2024
Country: Czech Republic
Location: Butoves
Segment: Public Lighting

Description of the Solution and Technology

As part of the public lighting modernization project in Butoves, ENIKA.CZ played a key role in replacing outdated luminaires with modern LED technology. The original sodium lamps were replaced with advanced LED solutions integrated into the intelligent POSEIDON® City system. This system not only enables efficient lighting management but also allows for flexible light intensity adjustments based on current needs and situations. Equipped with fault detection features, the system simplifies maintenance and ensures reliability.

The use of LED luminaires combined with the POSEIDON® City system has reduced energy consumption by up to 82% compared to the original lighting. Additionally, the lighting is connected to IoT sensors that monitor the environment and optimize energy distribution according to real-time conditions. This project demonstrates how modern technology can save energy while enhancing public safety.

The new lighting significantly contributes to the safety of our residents while helping to reduce energy costs. The system we now have is easy to operate and delivers savings for the municipal budget,” said the mayor of Butoves, Mr. Bob Šviha.

Results and Benefits

The modernization of public lighting in Butoves has brought substantial savings and improved efficiency. The new lighting system not only reduces energy costs but also provides the municipality with better control over infrastructure status, simplifying management and maintenance.
